FridayLive!  IrReguLArs

"Airing Faculty Attitudes about Assessment... Safely and Usefully"

June 18, 2010 at 2pm EDT - free to all.

In this meeting of the IrReguLArs, Steve Gilbert will be joined by Mark Schlesinger, former director of U MASS Online, in an open discussion about assessment. The goal is to get a better understanding of the different faculty attitudes about assessment.

The discussion promises to be safe, respectful, and include representation of the attitudes of faculty who cringe whenever they hear the word "assessment" as well as faculty who have found some kinds of assessment quite helpful, especially kinds that accrediting organizations would recognize as at least partially fulfillling their recommendations or requirements for institutional assessment.

*Explanation of FridayLive IrReguLaR for NPR fans:  like Prairie Home Companion, but .......without the music, humor, or mid-western base. (heh) Scheduled on some Fridays.

Don't forget that you can register for a FridayLive! FASTPASS.  This enables you to attend FridayLive! every session without registering.

NOTE:  Login instructions for the session will be sent in the Registration Confirmation Email. Please check your Junk folder as sometimes these emails get trapped there. We will also send an additional login reminder 24 hours prior to the start of the event.
