Description

This session is the TLT Group’s first experiment with online office hours. We’re grateful that Gerry Hanley has bravely agreed to answer your questions in this format. We don’t expect a prepared presentation, but we’ll provide a few sample questions in advance that focus on the challenges and opportunities for improving learning and teaching with Open Educational Resources. He’ll do his best to answer your questions, recommend specific resources, and help solve problems facing you and your colleagues.

Hanley has been a leader in MERLOT and directly involved in several other valuable projects in this area. He is aware of recent pressures and trends in reducing the costs to students of textbooks and other instructional resources.

We hope this session will demonstrate how online open office hours can provide personalized help for faculty and academic support professionals.
