Tuesdays: August 4, 11 and 18 at 2:30 pm Eastern

Steve Gilbert and Steve Ehrmann The TLT Group

The TLT Group's 2nd Annual Symposium on Faculty Development and Support will focus on "Frugal Innovations." with an and how this concept can be used to support faculty and improve teaching and learning.  This series will:

  • invite ideas for how faculty developers currently share instructional innovations that are low-cost and easy to integrate
  • Compare ideas for sharing strategies that spread these ideas
  • Identify how to make effective use of faculty communication networks to share ideas and disseminate innovation.

This symposium will include results of a Flashlight Online 2.0 survey about the current state of Faculty Development and specifically about Frugal Innovation.

Audience - People who are interested in and/or have some responsibility for helping faculty members to improve teaching and learning with technology.  This includes both faculty members who have this kind of interest and responsibility as well as academic professionals who are at least partly responsible for helping and supporting faculty members.  People who are interested in ideas for improving teaching and learning with technology more broadly.

Teaching to fish.... instead of giving a fish ... applied to faculty developments.

Steve Gilbert, President of the TLT Group and Director of the Online Institute, will serve as co-facilitator with
Steve Ehrmann, Vice President of the TLT Group and Director of the Flashlight Program.
